I. THE GREATEST PERSON...  FOR GOD"

A. The Creator...Gen. 1:1

B. The Most High God...Gen. 14:18

C. The Almighty God...Gen. 17:1

II. THE GREATEST PASSION..."so loved the world"

There are many great love stories in the Bible:

A. Adam's love for Eve caused him to step down

B. Jacob's love for Rachel caused him to serve for 14 years

C. Boaz's love for Ruth caused him to accept a stranger

D. Hosea's love for Gomer though she sinned

-But John 3:16 is greater than all these...

 

III. - THE GREATEST PRESENTATION..."that he gave his only..."

A. The giver...God

B. The gift...His only begotten Son

C. The getter...whosoever believeth in him

IV. THE GREATEST PROSPECT..."who-so-ever will"

V. THE GREATEST PLAN..."believeth in him"

The Bible word "believe" carries a 3-fold meaning.

A. There must be a hearing...John 5:24

B. There must be a persuasion...II Cor. 7:10

C. There must be a trusting...Eph. 2:8-9

VI. THE GREATEST PROMISE..."should not perish"

A. Saved form Sin...Rom. 6:14

B. Saved from Hell...Rom. 8:1

C. Saved from the Grave-Job 19:25-27

 

VII. THE GREATEST POSSESSION..."everlasting life:

A. Everlasting Life...Quantity, lasts for ever

B. Eternal Life...Quality, the very life of God
