I OWE SOMEBODY SOMETHING

Romans 1:14-16

We live in a care-free, happy-go lucky, welfare society. The same

attitude has creeped into our churches. Nobody wants to take any

responsibility, but notice Romans 12:15; 14:7. Here we learn that all of

us are indebted to some one.

 

I. TO THE SINNER, I OWE THE GOSPEL.-.Rom. 1:16

A. The Person of the Gospel...Christ

B. The Power of the Gospel...Unto Salvation

C. The Prospects of the Gospel...every one that believeth

 

II. TO THE SAVIOUR, I OWE SOME GLORY...I Cor. 6:19-20

A. Internally.-glorify God with my spirit

B. Externally...glorify God with my body

 

III. TO THE SAINTS, I OWE SOME GIFTS...

A. I owe something to my church

1. Time 3. Tithes

2. Talents 4. Testimony

B. I owe something to my comrades. (Preachers)

1. To those before me

2. To those beside me

3. To those behind me

 

IV. TO SOCIETY, I OWE SOME GODLINESS

A. To my Community,

I owe a Godly person

B. To my companion,

I owe a Godly partner

C. To my Children,

I owe a Godly parent

 

V. TO MY SELF, I OWE SOME GUIDELINES

I must be sure that I am:

A. Saved

B. Strong

C. Steadfast

I cannot live to please myself, I must be honest enough to pay my debts.
